Experience Greater Omaha arts and culture with other Young Professionals while getting the chance to be your own artist/creative for the night. We'll be featuring three local artists to facilitate "drop in session" workshops – what'll it be? Ukulele, poetry writing or doodle sketching? Or choose all three!

  • Mark Gutierrez will teach ukulele. He's a well-regarded musician in the area who's traveled all over the country to participate in and teach at various ukulele festivals. This instrument is fun and incredibly easy to learn.
  • Sarah McKinstry-Brown will teach poetry writing. She's taught performing and writing workshops at universities throughout the US. Her first full-length book of poetry, "Cradling Monsoons," was published in 2010.
  • Dori Settles will teach doodle sketching -- an easy way to draw using simple shapes and patterns. Dori is a talented mixed media artist who recently opened Smiling Turtle Art Space in west Omaha.

Event registration is $15 and includes creative workshops, light appetizers and wine.
Register by Oct. 8. Event space is limited so sign up today!

Thanks to the Omaha Creative Institute for providing the opportunity for YPs to embrace creativity and experience art and culture.
